Description: On 10/11/2013 at approximately 21:11 hours, Bennington County Sheriff’s Office Sergeant Joel Howard stopped a vehicle for a motor vehicle violation. Due to other circumstances Rutland County Sheriff’s Office Sergeant Jonathon Bixby was dispatched to the area to help with the investigation. Upon further investigation with the operator, DePhillips, evidence of alcohol impairment was detected. He was screened for DUI, did not complete Field Sobriety Exercises satisfactorily and was subsequently arrested. He was then transported to RPD for DUI processing. The accused was later released on a citation to appear in Rutland Superior Court Criminal Division on 10/28/2013 to answer to the charge of DUI
