Location: West Rutland
Investigating Deputy: Deputy James Bennick

Description:
On 8/3/11 the RCSD began an investigation regarding a stolen check that had been forged and cashed on 7/27/11. The victim reported the crime after learning her back account had been over drawn and researching her own bank records. The investigation revealed that Kimberely MaGuire had stolen a single check while at the victim’s residence, forged it using the victim’s name and attempted to pay for the rent of a new apartment in Castleton with the check. The check was passed for $1700.00.
As a result of the investigation, MaGuire was arrested and cited to appear at Rutland Superior Court, Criminal Division to answer to the charge of Forgery and Uttering a Forged Instrument.
The RCSD arrested Maguire on 7/28/11 for five counts of Uttering a Forged Instrument and lodged her at MVRCF. She was in court on 7/29/11 and released on conditions. This latest investigation showed the incident occurred prior to her arrest and court appearance from 7/29/11 and therefore she was not in violation of her conditions.
Court Date: 10/10/11
Bail: None
