DESCRIPTION: On June 22nd 2024, Corporal Ricketts was assigned a case regarding incidents that had reportedly occurred on two separate dates in May and June of 2024 occurring on Anderson Street in the Town of West Rutland. Subsequent investigation revealed that Joseph C. Thompson of West Rutland, stalked, menaced with bodily injury and acted in a disorderly manner.

On June 23rd 2024 at approximately 0008 hours, Corporal Ricketts and Sergeant Herrick along with Troopers from the Vermont State Police located Thompson at his residence on Anderson Street. Thompson was placed under arrest and was transported to the Rutland County Sheriff's Department for processing. After processing, Thompson was later released to the Rutland Regional Medical Center on a citation to appear at the Rutland Superior Court - Criminal Division on June 24th 2024 at 1230 hours to answer to the charges of Stalking, Simple Assault and Aggravated Disorderly Conduct.
