DATE: June 14th 2024 at 0333 hours
LOCATION: South Main Street - Rutland City, VT
ARRESTING OFFICER: Corporal Gregory Ricketts - Rutland County Sheriff's Department
DEFENDANT: Angel M. Fredericks
AGE: 46
CITY & STATE OF RESIDENCE: Wallingford, VT
CHARGES: (DUI) Operating a Motor Vehicle Under the Influence of Alcohol - Title 23 VSA 1201
DESCRIPTION: On the above date and time, Corporal Ricketts and Deputy Baldea were notified of a possibly impaired operator inside the Cumberland Farms on South Main Street in Rutland City. Upon arrival, Deputies observed a female who appeared to be impaired and attempt to leave the parking lot in a vehicle. Corporal Ricketts identified the operator as Angel M. Fredericks of Wallingford, VT. While speaking with Fredericks, Corporal Ricketts observed several indicators of impairment. As a result she was asked to perform standardized field sobriety tests. Fredericks refused to participate in the tests and was placed under arrest for DUI. Fredericks was transported to the Rutland City Police Department for processing. During processing, Fredericks provided an evidentiary breath sample above the legal limit of alcohol in the State of Vermont. Fredericks was later transported to the Rutland Regional Medical Center where she was released on a citation to appear at the Rutland Superior Court - Criminal Division on July 1st 2024 at 1000 hours to answer to the charge of DUI.
